Kevin Lee Thompson, 54, of Glendale, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013, in Upton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Thompson; maternal grandparents, Bluford and Evelyn Richardson; and paternal grandparents, Horace Harvey and Delia Thompson.
Kevin was a U.S. Air Force
veteran and enjoyed collecting antique John Deere tractors. He loved to fish and enjoyed researching family genealogy. He was a truck driver and a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Sue Richardson Thompson of Glendale; a brother, Wade Thompson of Cecilia ; six sisters, Kim (Joe) Huffman of Sonora, Leslie (Jamie) Knight of Upton, Bonnie (Tim) Gipson of Sonora, Katy (Scotty) Gardner of Glendale , Kelly (Terry) Davenport of Hodgenville and Judy (Gary) Pinson of Springfield, Tenn.;15 nieces and nephews; two great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, at Manakee Funeral Home of Elizabethtown with the Rev. Mike Bell officiating. Burial follows in Sonora Cemetery.
Visitation is 2 to 8 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Manakee Funeral Home of Elizabethtown.
