Lilia Fay Caver, 90, of Rineyville, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Bluegrass Assisted Living in Elizabethtown.
She was a native of Hardin County and a member of Rineyville Baptist Church. She was a retired dental assistant for Fort Knox civil service and was a past president of the Hardin County Democratic Women's Club. She was a member of the Rineyville Fire Department auxiliary and she and her husband, Milton, ran the Rineyville ball park for 27 years. She was an avid University of Kentucky fan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Caver; her parents, Guy and Lilia Mildred Gunning Shelton; and a grandchild.
She is survived by a son, Garland (Teresa) Caver of Elizabethtown; two daughters, Elizabeth Hogue and Renie (Wendell) Phillips, all of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 10, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Brother Raymond Ward officiating. Burial follows in Hardin Memorial Park.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday.
