Mable Huffman Hensley


Mable Huffman Hensley, 92, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, May 19, 2014, at her caregiver's home.

She was a native of Hart County and worked for civil service at Fort Knox.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Hensley; her parents, Noah and Rosa Gossett Huffman; and a sister, Frances Huffman.

She is survived by a special caregiver, Tricsh (John) Murrell; her two daughters, Wilma (James) Walker of Elizabethtown and Judi (George) Wade of Cecilia; two sons, Jim (Brenda) Hensley and Gary (Martha) Hensley, all of Elizabethtown; a brother, Maxie (Elizabeth) Huffman of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Rosie Payton and Mary Payton, both of Elizabethtown; and seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral is at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Brother Gerald Payton officiating. Burial follows in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.
