Maggie "Maw" Brown, 85, of Rineyville, died Monday, July 22, 2013, in Louisville.
She was a native of Hardin County and loved nature, hunting and fishing. She was a wonderful, loving and caring mother, grandmother and "great-ma" who loved her family and enjoyed sharing her knowledge with them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Harrison Brown; her parents, Augustus R. and Emma Clark Tucker; a son, Frank Anglin Sr.; a stepson, Wilbur Brown; two brothers, William Tucker and Everett Tucker; and two sisters, Ann Hammons and Edna Smallwood.
She is survived by four daughters, Dora Buckles, Barbara Anderson of Summit, Linda Poffenburger of Radcliff and Monica Mays (Randy Robinson) of Elizabethtown; a daughter-in-law, Georgia Anglin of Louisville; 12 grandchildren, Frank (Maggie) Anglin Jr., Alan (Anna) Light, Gary Mays II, Westley Mays, Gilbert Herrea, Daniel (Melissa) Herrea, Brian Sweat, Joel Anglin, Trey Miller, Ted Houchins, Amanda Mercer and Regina Meade; four great-grandchildren, Wesley and Robin Anglin, Gary Mays III and Mekaela Light; many other great-grandchildren; a longtime friend, Diana Walters; her dog, Lil Bit; and many nieces and nephews.
Services are private.
Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continues at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
