Naomi Lee Chandler, 86, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013.
Born March 17, 1926, in Owensboro, Naomi was the daughter of the late James Harold Johnson and Lena Mae Brown Johnson. She raised six children at home.
Naomi was a member of Woodland Baptist Church and an active resident of Horizon Bay independent living. She had a passion for music and art and especially enjoyed singing in church services at Horizon Bay.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Kenneth B. Chandler; and two brothers, James Johnson and William ""Bill"" Johnson.
Naomi is survived by six children, James (Sandra) Chandler, Donna Ingram (Larry), David Chandler (Sherry), Kathie Chandler, Andrea Clarke (Daniel) and Todd (Amy) Chandler; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters-in-law, Betty and Shirley Johnson.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19 at Woodland Baptist Church, 809 N. Pope Lick Road in Louisville with burial to follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, Louisville.
The family requests that memorial gifts in the form of contributions be made to Woodland Baptist Church.
