Norman Heath

Norman Heath, 76, of Magnolia, died Thursday, June 5, 2014, at the University of Louisville Hospital.

He was a member of the Magnolia Volunteer Fire Department since 1978, serving as fire chief for several years, a former magistrate for the 4th District, stockholder and member of the LaRue County Fair Board, former employee of Southern States in Magnolia and
Hodgenville and a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Melva Burba Heath; his brother J.T. Heath; and his parents, Paul and Gladys Constant Heath.

Survivors include his daughter, Lorrie (Russell) McCoy of Magnolia; two sons, Ricky Heath of Sonora and Allen (Jenny) Heath of Magnolia; a sister, Reba Highbaugh (Tom) VanCleave of Magnolia; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The funeral is at 2 p.m. Sunday at Dixon-Rogers Funeral Home in Magnolia with the Rev. Gordon McDowell and the Rev. Shannon McCubbins officiating. Burial follows in Magnolia Cemetery.

Visitation is from 11 to 8 p.m. Saturday and continues at 10 a.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
