Raymond Lee Gore Sr., 66, of Munfordville, died Monday, March 31, 2014, at his residence.
He was a native of Louisville and retired after 21 years of service at General Motors
. He was a diehard University of Kentucky fan, who enjoyed going to bike rallies and storytelling.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Gore; and his parents, Raymond Gore and Leola Aubrey Graham.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Armalinda Garcia Gore; a son, Raymond Lee (Amy) Gore Jr. of Jeffersonville, Ind.; two daughters, Tonya Sue Claudio of Elizabethtown and Vickie Lee (Dan) Slayton of Flaherty; two stepsons, Christopher (Jodie) Garcia of Elizabethtown and Jesse (Heather) Price of Munfordville; a stepdaughter, Jacquelyn (Vinny) Price of Munfordville; two brothers, Jacky (Karen) Gore of Elizabethtown and Sam (Tena) Gore of Stephensburg; three stepsisters, Brenda (Larry) Turner of Magnolia and Rita Sadler and Betty Rose, both of Clarkson; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; six nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Jerome Dawson.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Friday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Burial follows in Elizabethtown City Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and continues at 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
