Retired Command Sgt. Maj. William Ray Price

Retired Command Sgt. Maj. William Ray Price, 84, of Radcliff, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014, at North Hardin Health & Rehabilitation Center in Radcliff.

Retired Command Sgt. Maj. Price was a veteran of the Vietnam and Korean wars having served in the U.S. Army. His memberships included V.F.W. Post No. 10281 in Vine Grove, American Legion Post No. 113 in Elizabethtown, D.A.V. Chapter No. 156 in Radcliff, National Association of Uniformed Services and the Imperial Military Order of St. George.

Bill also enjoyed bowling, golfing and relaxing in front of his TV.

He was preceded in death by a son, Richard J. Price; his parents, Harold and Ellen Price; and a sister, Delores Griffith.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Suzanne; one son, Marty; and a daughter, Melody.

Retired Command Sgt. Maj. Price's funeral is at noon Thursday, March 13, in the chapel of Coffey & Chism Funeral Home in Vine Grove with the Rev. Daniel Lincoln officiating. Burial, with military honors, follows in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.

Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
