Retired Lt. Col. Robert R. Fraley

Retired Lt. Col. Robert R. Fraley, 81, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at his residence.

He was a native of Sarah Ann, W.Va., and a member of House of Prayer Lutheran Church. He retired after 20 years from the U.S. Army, having served during Vietnam. He was a golf teaching professional at Pine Valley and the head golf professional at Lincoln Trail Country Club.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Moore Fraley; his parents, Charley D. and Nellie Patterson Fraley; and a brother, James C. Fraley.

He is survived by two sons, Scott C. Fraley of Elizabethtown and Tim J. Fraley of Shelbyville; four grandchildren, Mindy, Brian, Katie and Jacob; and four great-grandchildren, Blake, Clayton, Adalyn and Haley.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at House of Prayer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Pam Thorson officiating. Burial follows in Willisburg Cemetery in Willisburg.

Visitation is from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and continues at 9 a.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
