Retired Staff Sgt. Wesley Edlin Hill

Retired Staff Sgt. Wesley Edlin Hill, 76, of Vine Grove, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

Mr. Hill was retired from the U.S. Army. He served three tours in Vietnam and one tour in Korea. He also was a retired truck driver and a member of the Truckers Union.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jamie Martin McNary.

Survivors include his wife, Pearl Hill of Vine Grove; three children, Jakob Hill, Yvonne Sanders and her husband, Tim, and Kathy Oliver; a stepson, Carl Oliver; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hill's funeral is at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, in the chapel of Coffey & Chism Funeral Home in Vine Grove. Burial, with military honors, follows in Ken-tucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.

Visitation is from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday and continues at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
