Robert "Bob" Bruce Sr., 72, of Louisville died Monday, June 10, 2013, at his residence.
He was born in Louisville on Feb. 22, 1941, the son of the late Waymon Arley and Annie Pearl Brown Bruce. He was the owner and operator of Bruce Land-scape Service and a recent retiree of B.A.S.F. Bob was an avid hunter, farmer and born-again Christian.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Brady Bruce.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lea Dowell Bruce of Louisville; three children, Bobby Bruce Jr. and his wife, Kathy, of Eastview, Pam Jones and her, husband, Rick, and Bill Bruce, all of Louisville; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Roberts and her husband, Bill, of Jeffersontown and Sandy Black and her husband, Carl, of Lyndon.
The funeral is at 1 p.m. CDT Friday, June 14, at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg. Burial follows in Horsley Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. CDT Thursday and continues at 8:30 a.m. CDT Friday at the funeral home.
