Robert Burton Miller, 86, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, July 4, 2014, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Meade County, a member of Memorial United Methodist Church and owner of Burton Miller Body Shop since 1970. He liked to fish and watch Kentucky basketball and NASCAR racing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Homer and Della Cecil Basham Miller; and three sisters, Josie Anna Miller, Marcella Miller and Mildred Young.
He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Maxine Cardin Miller; a son, Kerry Miller of Elizabethtown; two daughters, Monica (Mike) Poza of Wellington, Florida, and Jeannie (Ted) Eichenlaub of Phoenix, Arizona; three sisters, Mary Rose Tate of Spokane, Washington, Minnie (Kenny) Yates of Elizabethtown, and Margaret (Jerry) Campbell of Savannah, Georgia; five grandchildren, Troy Hadley, Nick Poza, Claire Poza, Laura Connell and Jeff Eichenlaub; and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Rev. Michael Gibbons officiating. Burial follows in Sonora Cemetery.
Visitation is from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continues after noon Wednesday at the funeral home.
