Sallie Bedwell Holcomb, 86, of Elizabethtown, went home Friday, May 30, 2014, after a long illness.
She was a native of Perry County and was a retired LPN, much of the time with Hardin Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ernest Holcomb; her parents, Elijah and Lucinda Bedwell; her loving daughter, Berniece Colwell; two sons, Bill and Bobby Bush; and a brother, Arthur Bedwell.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Whitaker; a sister, Olean Logston; two stepsons, Larry Whitaker and James Sizemore; a caregiver, Susie Lasley; four grandchildren, Greg and Steven Whitaker, Rhonda Gering and Melissa LeMasters; nine great-grandchildren, Greg Jr., Brandon and Abigail Whitaker, Tristen Roberts, Derek Russell, Shannon and Meagen Rishkofski, Katie Moseley and Savanna Bolin; eight great-great-grandchildren; Reagen Rishkofski, Brianna Moseley, Brianna, Cole, and Charlie Whitaker, Hayden and Kamden Roberts and Leslie Russell; and five nieces and four nephews.
The funeral is at noon, Thursday at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff with Brother Leroy Routt officiating.
Visitation is from 9 to 10 a.m. for family and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
