Sue McDowell Lawler, 66, of Buffalo, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
She was a 1964 graduate of LaRue County High School. She was a member of South Fork Baptist Church in Hodgenville. She was a homemaker and proud sponsor of the LaRue County Band of Hawks. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was born March 11, 1946 in Buffalo, the daughter of the late Raymond Matthew and Hazel Sutherland McDowell.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Mickey Dean Lawler of Buffalo; two sons, Kelly (Emily) Lawler of Elizabethtown and Jerry (Nannette) Lawler of Hodgenville; three grandchildren, Sarah Lawler, John Michael Lawler and Noah Lawler; one brother, the Rev. Gordon (Wilma) McDowell of Buffalo; one sister, Vickie (Steve) Brown of Cabool, Mo.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral for Sue McDowell Lawler is at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at South Fork Baptist Church in Hodgenville with the Revs. Norm Brock and Jonathan Carl officiating. Burial follows in South Fork Baptist Church Cemetery in Hodgenville.
Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and continues from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Rust-Wright Funeral Home in Hodgenville.
