Terry George Dill Sr., 59, of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at his home.
He was a native of Gallion, Ala., retired from the U.S. Army and worked at Home Depot, where he was an assistant manager. He was a police officer
for the Elizabethtown Police Department for eight years and was a member of American Legion Post 113.
He was preceded in death by his father, the Rev. Edward Robertson.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Marsha Mattingly Dill; three sons, Marlon (Teshekia) Dill of McCalla, Ala., Terry Dill Jr. and Nick Mathers, both of Elizabethtown; four daughters, Lindsay Dill-Gray of Suffolk, Va., Tressica Lomax of Gallion, Wanakee (Kenneth) Lee of Lawerenceville, Ga., and Patricia Tucker of Snellville, Ga.; his mother, Jestina Dill Washington of Gallion; and 13 grandchildren. Also, 11 siblings and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The funeral is at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, at Lakeside Worship Center with the Rev. Edward L. Palmer officiating.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continues after 10 a.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home.
