Virgil E. Ball

Virgil E. Ball, 67, of Rineyville, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

He was a native of Parkersburg, W.Va., and an Army veteran who served in Vietnam. He formerly worked at Winn-Dixie and Uncle Sam's at Fort Knox and was a member of DAV Chapter 156 in Radcliff. He loved his kids and grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Edward and Ester M. Flowers Ball.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara Lewis Ball; a daughter, Christina Lynn Ball of Columbus, Ohio; two sons, Kenneth W. (Lisa) Ball of Sonora and Robert E. (Rena) Ball of Illinois; and 14 grand-children.

The funeral is at noon Friday, Dec. 7, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Burial follows in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and continues at 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
