Clinton Murphy Williams, 76, of Vine Grove, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

Retired Maj. Williams was awarded a Bronze Star medal while serving in the U.S. Army. He was an elder at First Christian Church of Radcliff, had a bachelor's degree from the University of Louisville, an MBA from Bellarmine University and a master's degree from Louisville Bible College. He also was the president of Clint Chemical and Janitorial Supplies.
He was preceded in death by his father, London Owens; and his mother, Elease Williams Nicely.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Williams of Vine Grove; seven children, Clinton Williams of Ashburn, Va., Ronald Williams and his wife, Flora, of Vine Grove, Angela Hinkle and her husband, James, of Radcliff, Michael Williams and his wife, Ida, of Louisville, London Williams of Yuma, Ariz., and Stanley Williams and Deborah McCormack and her husband, Don, all of Louisville; 20 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral is at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at First Christian Church of Radcliff with Brother Art McCann officiating. Burial, with military honors, follows in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continues at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Radcliff.
