Geraldine Webb Obituary
Gerri was born in Cincinnati on Feb. 10, 1929, the daughter of the late James Roscoe "J.R." and Alice (Hiter) Buis. Gerri was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, loved to cook and was proud to be a retired school teacher from Fort Knox Community Schools. She also was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcat fan because her brother, Nathaniel "Buddy" Buis, played under Coach Rupp. One morning while Buddy was waiting for a ride she cooked him breakfast and then when Coach Rupp pulled in the driveway she made him come in and eat. She was proud to have cooked breakfast for Coach Adolf Rupp.
Mrs. Webb was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Lloyd E. "Muggs" Webb, on Nov. 29, 1989; a son, Lloyd E. "Skip" Webb III; a stepson, James Robert Webb; two sisters, Beulah Stephans and Mary Scroggins; and a brother, Nathaniel Buddy Buis.
She is survived by one son, Thomas "Tom" (Darlene) Webb of Elizabethtown; a daughter, Sandra (Bob) Turner of Yuma, Ariz.; a daughter-in-law, Sara Moon of Lexington; a niece, Mary Alice (Joe) Stephens Riley of Elizabethtown; three stepgrandchildren, Eagen Webb and Chapin Webb, both of Lexington, and Crystal Roberts of Bowling Green; a grandson, Hayden Webb of Elizabethtown; a sister-in-law, Rose Nell Buis of Liberty; and three special friends, Margaret Stevens and Susie Corder, both of Elizabethtown, and Geraldine Wilson of Liberty.
A memorial service is at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at Memorial United Methodist Church in Elizabeth-town with Dr. Michael Gibbons officiating.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Memorial United Methodist Church Food Pantry.
Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown is in charge of arrangements.

tom i am sorry for the loss of your mother. on the phone you talked about how you enjoyed taking care of her.i know you are going to miss her dearly and the family. when you get sad thjank about the good things you done with her. god will give you and your family a comfort. if you ever need to talk you can call to help you get though the loss. but i know god will help you each day though it. just hang in there we are your friends forever.
