Marvin Ray Hunter, 69, of Buffalo, passed away Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at University Hospital in Louisville.

He was a member of Hodgenville United Methodist Church, an Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam Era, retired supervisor for Gates Rubber Company in Elizabethtown and a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Ruby Whitlow Hunter.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Weston Hunter; a daughter, Kim (Rodney) Strange of Buffalo; a son, Gary (Kelly) Hunter of Thomasville, N.C.; five grandchildren, Megan (Billy) Thompson, Jordan Strange, Bethany Hunter, Natalie Hunter and Melissa Grant; five great-grandchildren, Emma, Bella, Skyler and Shianne Thompson and Macy Strange; and four sisters, Dolores Hahn of Lexington, Yvonne (Ray) McDowell, Wanda (John) Poteet and Sharon (Rondal) Wright, all of Hodgenville.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 3, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Revs. Bob Howell and Wallace Votaw officiating. Burial follows in Buffalo Cemetery.

Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and continues at 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
