Retired Lt. Col. James W. "Jim" Moss, 83, of Elizabethtown, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at North Hardin Health & Rehabilitation Center in Radcliff.

Retired Lt. Col. Moss was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served 28 years in the U.S. Army. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his loving wife, Beverly J. Moss; five children, Pam Kurapkat, Debbie Diezman, Ray Moss, Patty Ledford and Steve Moss; four siblings, Norma Wagner, Darlene Napier, Bob Moss and Carol Erickson; eight grandchildren, Mary Kurapkat, Christina Kurapkat, Jimmy Diezman, Nicki Diezman, Sean Diezman, Ann Terry, Lauren Moss and Jamie Holzheimer; and one great-grandchild, Brandon Holzheimer.
Retired Lt. Col. Moss's funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 24, at the chapel of Coffey & Chism Funeral Home in Vine Grove. Burial, with military honors, follows in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.
Visitation is from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday and continues at 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
