Abraham Lane, 80, of Radcliff, died Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

Retired U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Lane was a Korean and Vietnam war veteran, a member of the American Legion and was a retired teacher from Elizabethtown Community and Technical College.

He was preceded in death by a wife, Saturnina Lane; his parents, William and Lillie Lane; and three sisters, Amanda Wiant, Lucinda Cox and Hester Landrith.

He is survived by his wife, Sally Lane of Radcliff; two sons, Edward Lane of San Diego and Anthony Lane of Elizabethtown; a stepson, Christopher Garcia of Radcliff; two daughters, Juanita Lane of Atlanta and Casey Lane of Elizabethtown; and six grandchildren.

The funeral is at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Vine Grove. Burial, with military honors, follows in Lebanon National Cemetery in Lebanon.

Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
