Alta Pearl Atcher, 98, of Vine Grove, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Woodland Terrace Health Care in Elizabethtown.

She was a member of Vine Grove United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thurman (Dutch) Atcher; two daughters, Sue Nelson and Jean Smith; and a son, Donald Atcher.
She is survived by two daughters, Martha Brandenburg of Elizabethtown and Marilyn Moore and her husband, Chuck, of Louisville; two sons, J.T. Atcher and his wife, Sheila, of Taylorsville, Calif. and Michael Atcher of Vine Grove; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 34 great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral is at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at Vine Grove United Methodist Church with the Revs. Charles Kiser and Johnny Craig officiating. Burial follows in Stovall Methodist Church Cemetery in Radcliff.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and continues at 9 a.m. Saturday at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral Home in Vine Grove.
