Bertha Ruth Pollock, 83, of Elizabethtown, passed away Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
Ruth was a founding member of the Hardin County Homemakers and an avid supporter of Rebellier Band.
Mrs. Pollock was preceded in death by her parents, William Pete and Julia Mae (Clifford) Parrett; her husband, Maurice Jack Pollock; one sister, Hazel Helm; and three brothers, Bobby, Leroy and Tommy Parrett.
She is survived by two sons, Steve (Donna) Pollock of Anderson, S.C., and Forrest (Karen) Pollock of Elizabethtown; four sisters, Ethel Thomas of Elizabethtown, Judy Harlan of Shepherdsville, Ella Garner of Rineyville, and Shirley Williams of White Mills; two brothers, Bennie and Billy Parrett, both of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. Thursday at Valley Creek Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, with the Rev. Steve Hill officiating. Burial is at Valley Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
