Bessie Mae Johnson, 85, of Bonnieville, passed away at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Kensington Manor Care & Rehabilitation in Elizabethtown.

She was born May 22, 1927, in Louisville to the late Archie Gilbert Caswell and Bertha Frances Alvey Caswell. Ms. Johnson was a homemaker and a member of Bonnieville Homemakers and Bonnieville Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Johnson; one brother, Richard Caswell; one sister, Alvina Hatcher; and one grandson, Billy John Tabb.
Ms. Johnson is survived by one daughter, Sheila Runyon and her husband, Jerry, of Bonnieville; two sons, Donald Lee Johnson and his wife, Cynthia, of Bonnieville and Aaron Ray Johnson and his wife, Vivian, of Madisonville; one brother, James Caswell of Elizabethtown; four sisters, Mazell Patterson of Rineyville, Juanita Burden of Radcliff and Christeen Warren and Cathleen Carlisle, both of Elizabethtown; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral for Bessie Mae Johnson is at 2 p.m. CST Sunday, Feb. 24, at Bonnieville Baptist Church with Brother Ronnie Blair officiating. Burial follows in Memory Park Cemetery in Bonnieville.
Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. CST Saturday and continues from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. CST today at Sego Funeral Home in Munfordville.
