Brenda Borders Hughes Brenda Borders Hughes, 61, of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, at her residence, after a cou-rageous battle against Breast Cancer.

She was a native of Hardin County, a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a Rank 1 and master's degree in Counseling. She taught for Bullitt County Schools but previously taught for Hardin County and Elizabethtown Independent Schools. She attended Victory Life Fellowship Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry E. and Lucy Jane Dailey Borders; and a brother, Sammy Borders.
She is survived by a son, Frankie Riggs (Lori Decker); four daughters, Rhonda (Tim) McClure, Trisha (Mark) Pfeiffer and Susie (Shaun) Bott, all of Elizabethtown, and Nikki (Daniel) Enlow of Glendale; two brothers, Wayne (Susan) Borders of Elizabethtown and Leonard (Martha) Borders of Glendale; seven grandchildren, Derek Pfeiffer, Toni Pfeiffer, Chris Monroe, Mallory Monroe, Sara Monroe, Simon Enlow and Isabella Enlow; and her dog, Bruiser.

The funeral is at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Burial follows in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and continues at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
