Bryan Claborne Stewart


Bryan Claborne Stewart, 64, of Vine Grove, passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at his residence in Vine Grove. Mr. Stewart was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served from 1971-1980 and a member of Cross-roads Baptist Church in Elizabethtown. He was a youth, music and education minister. During his years of ministry, he served with Vine Grove Baptist Church from 1971-1974 and 1982-1995, Lees Lane Baptist Church from 1974-1977 while attending Southern Baptist Seminary, First Baptist Church in Paducah from 1977-1978, Trinity Baptist Church in Cincinnati from 1978-1982, Franklin Crossroads Baptist Church from 1995-2010, and had volunteered at Gospel of Grace Baptist Church in Hodgenville since 2010. Survivors include his loving wife, Donna Gayle Baker of Vine Grove; two children, Carol Gayle Gardner and her husband, Maj. Ben Gardner of Honolulu, Clay Stewart and his wife, Ashley, of Louisville; two grandchildren, Benjamin and Annelise; one brother, Roy Stewart of Nashville, Tenn.; one sister, Alice Gibson of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; his stepmother, Ernestine Stewart, and a stepsister, Linda Morris, both of Henderson, Tenn. Mr. Stewart's funeral is at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Crossroads Baptist Church in Eliza-bethtown with Brother Rob Sumrall officiating. Burial with military honors follows in North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Coffey & Chism Funeral Home in Vine Grove and after 11 a.m. Wednesday at Crossroads Baptist Church. Memorial donations can be made to the Gideon Memorial Program.
