Carolyn Renee Jones, 56, of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Morgantown, W.Va., and was raised in Elizabethtown. She was a 1973 graduate of Elizabethtown High School. She was a lab instructor for 10 years at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College and worked at Bluegrass Garden Center and Farm Credit Service. She also was a member of Greenspace and a volunteer at Warm Blessings Soup Kitchen and Hardin County Humane Society.
She was preceded in death by her father, Warren O. Jones.
Survivors include her mother, Bertha Hart Jones of Elizabethtown; one sister, Jennifer (Rick) Derthick of Goshen; a niece, Lily Derthick; and a nephew, Grayson Jones.
Cremation was chosen and services are at a later date.
Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown is in charge of arrangements.
