Charlene Gootee, 61, of Radcliff, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013, at University Hospital in Louisville.

Mrs. Gootee formerly was a member of Bryan Station Baptist Church in Lexington and attended Bible Baptist Church in Radcliff. Some of her hobbies included painting, scrapbooking, enjoying the outdoors and, most of all, her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Mary Martin; and one brother, Myles Martin.

Survivors include her husband, George Gootee of Radcliff; four children, Allen Gootee and his wife, Lissa, of Lawrenceburg, Paul Christian Gootee of Jacksonville, Fla., Vanessa Carwile and her husband, Mike, of Radcliff and Michael Gootee and his wife, Ashley, of Fort Hood, Texas; 15 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one great-grandchild on the way; and one brother, Jacob Berry of Owensboro.

Mrs. Gootee's funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, in the chapel of Coffey & Chism Funeral Home in Vine Grove with Pastor Thomas Green officiating. Burial follows in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and contin-ues at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
