Charles Edward Brewer, 90, of Hodgenville, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2012, at his home.

He was born May 11, 1923. He was an Army veteran of World War I and a retired self-employed truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Mattie Underwood Brewer; and his wife, Mildred Allen Brewer.
He is survived by his daughter, Diane Brewer Perkins of Hodgenville; a grandson, Bradley Perkins of Hodgenville; two great-grandsons, B.J. Perkins and Ben Perkins, both of Hodgenville; one brother, Howard Brewer of Magnolia; five sisters, Mary Cruse and Dorothy Keith, both of Elizabethtown, Ada Cruse of Hodgenville, Leona Allison of Illinois and Lorene Cline of Tennessee; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral for Charles Edward Brewer was Saturday, May 25, in the Chapel of Rust-Wright Funeral Home, 612 N. Lincoln Blvd., Hodgenville, with Pastor Naomi Patterson officiating. Burial was in Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville.
Rust-Wright Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
