Charles Hercules "Chuck" Witten Jr., 61, of Glen-dale, passed away Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.

An artist and musician, he retired from Fort Knox as a graphic illustrator and was a member of Upton Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles H. Witten Sr. and Wilma Ruth Seeders Witten Weiland; and two sisters, Peggy Witten Thompson and Amber Witten Thurman.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Devore Witten; a sister, Linda Witten Mays of Lexington; his "dad," Jim Weiland of Hodgenville; a half-brother, Angelo Witten; a half-sister, Charlene "Tootie" Wineka; and several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Chuck's wishes, he was cremated. Memorial services are at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Brothers Jeric Devore and Sam Hinkson officiating.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
