Charles Ralph "GD" Medley, 79, of Flaherty, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at his residence with his family by his side.

He retired from National Distilleries in Louisville, worked as a farmer and was proprietor of GD Medley and Sons, a vinyl siding business.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lillian Medley; and two sisters, Helen Solar and Joyce Brown.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Rose Anna (Wathen); 11 children, Diana (Joe) Carr, Rick, Wayne (Peggy), Les, Larry (Elaine), Donna, Cindy (Glen) Durham, Chris (Dana), Patty (Bobby) Jenkins, John (Barb) and Denny (Missy); 31 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lamar, Randall and Merlin; and one sister, Mary Jo Brown.
A Mass of Christian burial for Mr. Medley is at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Flaherty with the Rev. Daniel Lincoln officiating. Burial follows in St. Martin Cemetery in Flaherty.
Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and continues at 9 a.m. Friday at Coffey & Chism Funeral Home in Vine Grove. A prayer service is at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
