Cheryl Moore Galvin, 61, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness Monday, July 2, 2012.

Cheryl was born in Middletown, Ohio, and spent most of her life in Elizabethtown. She was a lifelong member of St. James Catholic Church. Cheryl worked for many years for Dr. William H. Handley and most recently for Dr. Glenn Catlett. She will be celebrated for her kind heart, her welcoming home, whimsical spirit and dedication to her friends and family, but above all, the enormous love she had for her children and grandchildren. Cheryl was a lover of sun and sandy beaches where she created many memories with family and a flock of flamingos.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ben and Marie Moore; and one brother, Larry Moore.
Survivors include two children, John (Amy) Galvin and Heather (Josh) Paulsen; three grandchildren, Gehrig Galvin and Olivia and Hadley Paulsen; two sisters, Beth (Jim) Moore Nickell and Patty (Mike) Moore Stinson; a sister of the heart, Sharon Spratt; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Cremation was chosen.
The funeral is at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, at St. James Catholic Church in Elizabethtown.
Visitation is from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church.
