Dorothy Cochran, 91, of Rineyville, passed away at her residence on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, to go see her Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was a longtime supporter of Saint Meinrad Archabbey and served as an oblate of Saint Meinrad. She has been a member of St. Brigid Catholic Church since 1946. She served as president of the Altar Society and chairman of several other committees. She was active in Hardin County Homemakers Associa-tion and Hardin County 4-H. She was a city girl turned country girl. After 70 years on the farm, she considered the farm her home and loved it and her country life dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mary McNee; her husband, Clarence W. Cochran and their son, Edward G. Cochran; and her brother, Robert McNee of Philadelphia.
She is survived by her sons, Robert W. ""Bobby"" Cochran of Columbus, Ohio, and William J. ""Billy"" Cochran (Rosie) of Rineyville; three grandsons, Mark Cochran (Judy) of Rineyville, Phillip Cochran (Katie) of Louisville and Michael Cochran of Rineyville; two wonderful and beautiful great-grandchildren, Abigail Cochran and Toby Cochran; and two good friends and caregivers, Sue and Mollie Weisshaupt.
A Mass of Christian burial is at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Vine Grove with the Rev. Daniel Lincoln officiating. Burial follows in St. Brigid Cemetery.
Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and continues at 9 a.m. Monday at Coffey & Chism Funeral Home in Vine Grove.
