Edward L. Hogue, 85, of El Paso, Texas, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013.

He proudly served and retired from the U.S. Army after 22 years of service. He was a member of the Elite Airborne Rangers. He earned the Infantry Combat badge during World War II, the Airborne Badge, the Silver Star and various other decorations. He retired from Safeway Stores as a truck driver after 31 years of service. He was an avid race car driver and earned several trophies.
Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Clara; his parents, Lucien and Beatrice Hogue; and a sister, Dorothy Vinson.
Survivors include a son, Robert, of El Paso; a daughter, Linda, of Tucson, Ariz.; and one brother, Hugh P. Hogue (Mae) of Elizabethtown.
The funeral is Friday, June 14, in El Paso.
