Edwin Thomas "Rusty" Moore Jr., 67, left us to join his maker on July 2, 2014, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.

Rusty was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, and was a graduate of Southeast High School. He received his bachelor's degree in
criminal science from Florida Atlantic University. Rusty served in Korea and Vietnam as a captain in the U.S. Army and a former Naples police officer.
Rusty was a devout Baptist, giving many years of service as a bus captain and Sunday school teacher at Seagate Baptist Church in Naples, Florida.
He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Bradenton, Florida, and Lincoln Trail Baptist Church in Elizabethtown.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Muriel Moore; his father, Edwin Moore Sr.; and his nephews, Lonny Moore and Brady Moore.
He is survived by his siblings, Randall Moore of Florida, Robyn (Rich) Massotta of Florida and Roger (Donna) Moore of Kentucky; his sister-in-law, Rhonda Moore; and nieces and nephews Ashley (Brandon) Goodin, Holly Honeycutt, Monica Allison, Lisa Laupert, Kenny (April) Moore, Lori Massotta, Brian Massotta, Alex Massotta and many great-nieces and nephews.
A private memorial will be held in Kentucky for family and friends.
