Elizabeth "Betty" White, 64, of Flaherty, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012, at her residence.
Mrs. White was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Vine Grove. She was retired from UPS and former owner of Flaherty Video.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill White; her father, Raymond Thompson; one brother, William Walter Thompson; and a sister, Linda Lou Thompson.
Her survivors include four children, Lance White of Battletown, Travis White and his wife, Molly, of Custer, Mandy White Riggs of Flaherty and Dustin White and his wife, Brandy, of Battletown; 11 grandchildren; her mother, Anna Elizabeth Thompson; six brothers and sisters, Anna Jean Vowels Corbett of Flaherty, William K. "Kenny" Thompson of South Carolina, Anetta Jane Snyder Avitt of Brandenburg, Paul Randall Thompson of Elizabethtown, Patrick Lamar Thompson of Brandenburg and John Richard "Rick" Thompson of Big Spring; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
A mass of Christian burial for Mrs. White is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Flaherty with the Rev. Kevin Bryan officiating. Burial follows in St. Martin Cemetery in Flaherty.
Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. today and continues at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Coffey & Chism Funeral Home in Vine Grove. A prayer service is at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
