Emma Wiseman Clem, 94, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, April 4, 2014, at Helmwood Health Care in Elizabethtown.

She was born Dec. 25, 1919, to Dillard and Emerine Tipton Wiseman in Estill County. The Wiseman family moved to Hardin County in 1944 to join the John Wallace farm at Youngers Creek.

She was the oldest living member of Youngers Creek Baptist Church. She was a full-time homemaker and enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and canning.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Clem; her parents, Dillard and Emerine Tipton Wiseman; a son, Roy Wayne Clem; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Clem; a sister, Auttie May Wiseman; and three brothers, James Floyd Wiseman, Wallace Wiseman and Henry Wiseman.

She is survived by a son, David Clem of Cecilia;, a daughter, Dorothy (Charlie) Fox of Elizabethtown; a daughter-in-law, Jeanette Clem of Mount Washington; two brothers, Boyd Truman Wiseman of Staffordsville and Carl Dennison (Barbara) Wiseman of Radcliff; two sisters, Dovie Edlin and Virginia Edlin of Elizabethtown; a sister-in-law, Martha Wiseman of Louisville; six grandchildren, Michael Clem, Lisa Johnson, Kimberly Wagner, Tammy Plamp, Kevin Fox and Steven Clem; 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral is at 1 p.m. Monday, April 7, at Youngers Creek Baptist Church with Brother Ron Lewis officiating. Burial follows in Youngers Creek Cemetery.

Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and continues at 10 a.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home.
