Georgia B. Emond, 69, of Glendale, died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2014, at her residence surrounded by family and friends.

She was a native of Evansville, Ind., and owner of Tomatoes and Blooms Nursery. She grew up in Boulder, Colo., and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Kentucky and her master's degree from Western Kentucky University. She was a master gardener member of Lincoln Trail Master Gardners and a member of Hardin County Farmers Market and Potted Few Garden Club. She also was a member of the Auxiliary Military Officers Association of America at Fort Knox.
She was preceded in death by her son, Andrew Ja-son Emond; her parents, Clifford C. and Bernice Lamey Belcher; and two brothers, Jerry and Clifton Belcher.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Rene J. Emond of Glendale; a son, David Emond of Waunakee, Wis.; a sister, Bernita Muller of Evansville; and three grandchildren, Marcel Emond, Blaise Emond and Trinity Emond.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Cecilia with the Revs. Chuck Walker and Leo Craycroft officiating. Burial follows in St. Patrick Cemetery at Fort Knox.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown and continues at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. A prayer vigil is at 7 p.m. Monday.
