Gregory Alan Ainsworth, 53, of Elizabethtown, passed away Monday, May 12, 2014, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

Mr. Ainsworth was retired from the U.S. Army. He was a veteran of Desert Storm and a member of VFW Post No. 10281 in Vine Grove.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ryan Ainsworth.

Survivors include two children, Ty Ainsworth of Lincolnton, North Carolina, and Ashley Nunn and her husband, David, of White Mills; four grandchildren, Kylie, Brooke, Conner and Trenton and a granddaughter on the way; his mother, Karlene Ainsworth of Ironton, Ohio; his father, Bill Ainsworth of Ironton; a brother, Adam of Ironton; a sister, Michelle of Ironton; a very close friend, Dona Arnold; and several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Mr. Ainsworth's funeral is at 1 p.m. Monday, May 19, in the chapel of Coffey & Chism Funeral Home in Vine Grove. Burial with military honors follows in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.

Visitation is from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday and continues at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
