Hobart Harold Hines, 94, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, March 17, 2014, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.

He was a native of Hart County and retired from civil service at Fort Knox. He was a pilot in the Navy during World War II and served more than 20 years in the Navy Reserves.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lular Towls Hines; and three brothers, Pete Hines, Bill Hines and Ezra Hines.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Lucille Hines, a resident of Sunrise Manor; one son and his wife, Bob and Mary Ann Hines of Elizabethtown; and one grandson, Brian Hines of Elizabethtown.

There will be no services.
