Hubert O. Lee, 89, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

He was a native of Hardin County, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a life member of DAV. He was a member of White Mills Baptist Church since 1958 and belonged to Stephensburg Lodge F&AM No. 312. He retired from Fort Knox civil service in 1979.

He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 64 years, Maribelle Copelin Lee; a son, Joseph L. Lee; his parents, L.H. and Mayme Tabb Lee; a brother, Roscoe Tabb Lee; and a sister, Thelma Lee Stigall.

He is survived by a son, Daniel (Linda) Lee of Cecilia; two grandchildren, Jacob (Christina) Lee and Stephen (Kendal) Lee; and a brother, Albin L. Lee.

The funeral is at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Rev. Bruce Underhill officiating. Burial follows in Elizabethtown City Cemetery.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and continues at 11 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
