He was born on April 24, 1975, to the late Benedict S. Principe, MD, and his wife, Linda Madula Principe, in Louisville.
In 1983, the family moved to Brandenburg and became members of First Baptist Church where they made many lifelong friends. JB enrolled as a third-grader at James R. Allen Elementary School. He graduated from Meade County High School and went on to attended the University of Kentucky, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in finance. He worked in many different cities in the Midwest including Orland Park, Ill., with Fidelity Investments as a financial advisor before being promoted as an account executive, giving him the opportunity to move to California and work for TD Ameritrade as an investment consultant. He attended First Baptist Church of Long Beach with his extended family.
JB is best remembered for his dedication to his work and loyalty to his family and friends. To those who knew him, he was a true and faithful friend. His charismatic spirit, clever wit and great sense of humor never failed to make everyone around him smile.
He always will be remembered for his passion in his beliefs, generous spirit and his love for family. To have known JB was to have experienced life.
JB is survived by his mother, Linda Madula Principe of Louisville; aunts and uncles, (Nene) Principe of Basilan, Philipines, Daisy Madula Saja of Cebu, Philipines, Joaquin (Annie) Madula Jr. of California, Manny (Tess) Madula of California, Darling (Bebe) Ybanez and Ruthie Gabisan, both of Cebu, Becky (Eduardo) Murillo of California and Mario (Glowen) Madula of Maryland; and several cousins.
The funeral is at 10:30 a.m. EDT Friday, June 28, at First Baptist Church in Brandenburg. Burial follows in Calvary Cemetery on Newburg Road in Louisville.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. EDT Thursday at Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home in Branden-burg and continues at 9 a.m. EDT Friday at the church.
