James N. Vititoe, 93, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at North Hardin Health and Rehabilitation.
He was a native of Jefferson County and a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He retired from civil service at Fort Knox as a carpenter and was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Irene Weatherford; and parents, William Owen and Nola Stovall Vititoe.
He is survived by his sons, John Vititoe of Hemet, Calif., Robert Vititoe of Fort Myers, Fla., and Tony Vititoe of Rineyville; one brother, Harold K. Vititoe of Valley Station; eight grandchildren; and 15 great- grandchildren.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home. Burial follows in North Hardin Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
