Jane Lewis Scantland, 83, of Elizabethtown, died Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at her home.

She was a native of Hardin County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Hughes Scantland; a daughter, Peggy Scantland; her parents, Flynn and Corrine Richardson Lewis; one brother, John Lewis; and a sister, Jean Harding.
She is survived by two daughters, Janice (Butch) Russell and Susan Skees, all of Elizabethtown; one sister, Jo Ann Ash of Louisville; three grandchildren, Eddie Russell of Louisville, Eric Russell of Texas and Hope Stroud of Florida; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral is at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Revs. Jeff Noel and Clark Hewitt officiating. Burial follows in Hardin Memorial Park.
Visitation begins at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
