Jeanne Floyd, 90, passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at San Juan Retirement Home in Jacksonville, Fla.

Jeanne was born April 1, 1922 in Louisville, the daughter of Charles and May (Richy) Faulkner. She spent most her life in Louisville and married Ben Floyd. They had five children. She was always active in volunteer work and still found time to devote to her hobbies including garden-ing, music and art.
After the death of her husband, she moved to New Albany, Ind., in 1974, and later moved back to Louis-ville. She was active in The Legion of Mary and the Third Order of Secular Franciscans.

Her final years were spent in Jacksonville, where she attended Immaculate Conception.

"She will be greatly missed, but will always live in our hearts."

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Floyd; a son, Frank X. Floyd; her parents; and four siblings.

She is survived by two sons, Ben Floyd Jr. (Peggy) of Millington, Tenn., and Charles T. Floyd (Shirley) of Stone Mountain, Ga.; two daughters, Mary Jeanne Hargrave (Dave) of Jacksonville and Therese Ames (Ron) of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Shirley (Gonzales) Floyd; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial is at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at St. James Catholic Church in Elizabethtown. Interment follows in St. James Catholic Cemetery.
