John David Constant, 65, of Oak Harbor, Wash., passed away at his home Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013.

Born Sept. 14, 1946, in LaRue County, he was preceded in death by his parents, James G. and Betty Constant; two brothers, James and Paul; and a sister, Rachel Barnes.
He is survived by his ex-wife, best friend and mother of his children, Yvonne; two sons, Adam Constant and his fiancée, Tanya English, of Oak Harbor and James Constant (Mary) of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a daughter, Angela (Wilford) Crackel of Merrillville, Ind.; one sister, Mary Benningfield and her husband, Harlan; three granddaughters, Talia, Sara and Kathleen; two grandsons, Jackson Constant and Wilford "Ford" Crackel III; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is Thursday, Feb. 7, at Whidbey Memorial Funeral Home in Oak Harbor. Burial follows in Tahoma Cemetery in Kent, Wash.
