Kelly Marti Burks, 97, of Radcliff, died Friday, July 6, 2012, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

He was a native of DeWitt, Ark., and a member of Severns Valley Baptist Church. He served 20 years with the U.S. Army and retired after 14 years as an instructor from the armor school in Fort Knox.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Noblin Burks; his parents, Sam and Ida McGowan Burks; and a brother, C.H. Burks.
He is survived by three sons, Kelly (Mary) Burks Jr. of Vine Grove, Mike (Terri) Burks of Mexico Beach, Fla. and Tim (Gina) Burks of Glasgow; one brother, Harold Burks of California; two grandchildren, Josh Burks of Hodgenville and Tammy Burks of Vine Grove; and one great-grandchild, Riley Burks of Vine Grove.
Cremation was chosen by the family.
Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial service is at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 12, at North Hardin Health and Rehabilitation with Brother Chief Perkins officiating.
