Lawrence Wells, 87, of Buffalo, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home.

He was a native of Hart County, a farmer and a member of Elizabethtown Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Locke Wells; his parents, Robert and Martha Jane Roten Wells; and 12 brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kathleen Miller Wells; two sons, Charles E. (Brenda) Wells of Shepherdsville and Dr. Jerry W. (Robbin) Wells of Bowling Green; a stepson, W.D. (Judy) Hart of Elizabethtown; a stepdaughter, Kay (Mike) Mack of Fishersville; seven grandchildren, Judy (Barry) Shulz of Louisville, Sharon (Ron) Sanders of Mount Washington, Christy (Jeff) McInturff of Nashville, Tenn., Kim (Travis) Clonch of Texas, Ryan Hart and Mandy Hart, both of Elizabethtown, and Andrew (Heather) Sharp of Bowling Green; and eight great-grandchildren, Justin, Meredith, Ashley, Christian, Baylor, Ryder, Adrianna and Drew.
The funeral is at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Brothers Norman Miller and Justin Arnold officiating. Burial follows in Magnolia Cemetery.
Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and continues at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
