Loretta C. Alvarez, 80, of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, July 29, 2012, at her residence.
She was a native of Caneyville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Marshall Alvarez; and her parents, Ray and Elfie Marie Bratcher Cooper.
She is survived by three children, Billy Coats and Lisa Marie Alvarez, both of California and Sheila Wilson of Elizabethtown; two brothers, Elmo Lindon Cooper of Leitchfield and Ray Cooper Jr. of Paducah; two sisters, Rita Brooks of Indiana and Tonita Embry of Morgantown; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service is at noon EDT Wednesday, Aug.1, at Chapel Union Cemetery in Morgantown with the Rev. Clinton White officiating.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
