Margie Lee Ammons, 71, of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

She was a native of Jefferson County and attended Grace Heartland Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Jefferson Parker Jr. and Margaret Ruth Wallace Parker; and a granddaughter, Jessica Lee Ammons.
She is survived by three sons, Gary Ray (Terry) Ammons of Guston, Philip Michael (Cindy) Ammons of Louisville and Douglas Eric (Terri) Ammons of Elizabethtown; a daughter, Lesa Jo Ammons of Elizabethtown; a brother, Joey (Etta) Parker III of Burns, Tennessee; a sister, Diane Ree (Earl) McCoy of Elizabethtown; four grandchildren, Christopher (Alanna) Ammons of Richmond, Samantha Ammons of Arkansas, Sean Ammons of Louisville and Sara Ammons of Elizabethtown; and three great-grandchildren, Jaden, Jasmine and Jewels Ammons, all of Richmond; three stepgrandchildren, Candice Chambliss, Charlene McCarthy and Todd Chambliss; and four stepgreat-grandchildren, Skyler Leitner, Victoria Chambliss, Tyler Kennedy and Makenna Chambliss.
The funeral is at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
